{A TV Stand Face-Lift}

My TV stand in the last thing I think of updating... ours is pretty, but nothing fabulous. It is solid light oak, with a necessary cupboard underneath. It has a swivel on the top which we don't use often. It's more modern for my taste and does not have any unique details that I would be willing to paint it. I adore the new tv's that can mount on the wall, but where do you hide all of those ugly wires? I don't think we can get away with not tearing apart the wall (after we just put it together, lol), so I am leaning towards a chic TV stand with lots of storage! Here are some of my fav LCD TV Stands!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Last week my kiddos were home because of winter break. It was refreshing to skip the normal morning rush and spend some entire days in PJ's! Thank God for the sinple things in life :-)

{A chic photo arranging idea}

Loving this idea! Instead of juggling six pictures and turning my wall into swiss cheese, I was searching for another way to plan out the arrangement of my photos.

I came across this kraft paper idea and I happen to have some on hand! You can easily improvise and use newspaper, wrapping paper, tissue paper, etc.

I hope these inspire you! Have a wonderful week, I am thoroughly enjoying the week off with my little ones!
Warmest Blessings,
Amy

{ with a lot of love, tlc, hardwork, sweat, tears etc....}

{Old things CAN become NEW again}

This is a photo of my humble little lake house BEFORE! Yes that is stone on the floor and YES there are somewhat boarded up windows! We truly took a labor or love and have been working on it continously for about a year and a half! We are not done, but are getting there...one nails, screw, board etc.. at a time!

Above is a before photo of our petite bathroom. And AFTER pics to be coming shortly! I know, I am teasing! I am still in tile un-descision... Maybe I will post to have my blog readers help me decide....

Here are some photos of inspiration.... the final reveal to come soon!

{ Dreamy Talent on ETSY! }

With the Internet, we are blessed to have so many different avenues for inspiration. ESTY is one of those places I like to frequent to swoon over the endless magical creations! I quickly fell in love with this petite shadow box displaying vintage apothecary bottles found here.
This beach cottage burlap pillow certainly speaks for itself found here.
I would love about six of these :-)

I am not sure what I adore more?! The vintage hankys, the gauzy curtain in the background or the tray found here.

And lastly, but certainly not leastly... this super fabulous DREAM Chipboard banner! I have a spot perfect for this and the price is FAB!
Merci Beaucoup to the above artisan for being this morning's muse :-)
Now I must shovel a pathway to my car, ugh! We got another FOOT of that white stuff last night....
Warmest Blessings,
Amy

Fabulous BLUE

So, after six months of insanity! YES, insanity!! I went back to work full-time after staying home with our beautiful babies for 7 years. I find myself home, again... thank GOD! It was not only 40 hours a week, but two hours of drive time each day... making it a grand total of being away 50 hours a week. BUT with the snow, yes that lovely yet awful at the same time, white stuff... it added about another 5 hours a week of driving time.... being away from my precious family a whopping 55 hours per week. UGH It was not all a loss, it was a great lesson and I was able to buy my little pt cruiser to boot! (LOVE THAT CAR TEE HEE!) So now I find myself pursuing a passion that I have always aspired to do, Real estate! As I study my little heart out to take the NY exam, I am hoping to get some blogging done in between!

So, in the midst of studying, I am also working on my kitchen! And yes, I am totally and madly in love with BLUE lately! Those beautiful hydrangeas add such a pretty splash of color don't they?
And the blue glass!! AHH! I will be showing you some of my collection soon! :-)
The blue glass tile makes such a pretty yet bold statement! Although, I am not brave enough to do that! I like paint, it's easy to change!

Well, better get back to painting my cupboards! Pictures to come soon! xxxooo
